Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AI Video Education handles when educators and learners turn videos into interactive lessons.

1. Who we are

AI Video Education provides tools for creating, delivering and measuring interactive video lessons. Questions about this policy or requests concerning personal information can be sent to team@aivideoeducation.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address and basic profile details when you sign in with Google or verify your email address. We do not receive your Google password. Email verification codes expire and can only be used once.
  • Workspace and lesson information: organization details, YouTube links, titles, transcripts, questions, answers, teaching notes and publishing settings.
  • Learning information: responses, attempts, progress, mastery results and response times when these features are used.
  • Named learner records: when a lesson creator enables learner tracking, we collect the first and last name you provide, and email or cohort details if requested. We record when you start, the video sections played, active and elapsed lesson time, checkpoint progress and completion. Authorized staff in that lesson's workspace can search and export these records. Names and contact details are supplied by learners and are not verified by this feature.
  • Technical information: session identifiers, browser and device information, IP-derived security information, timestamps and diagnostic logs.
  • Acquisition information: campaign and ad labels, the pages you visit, referring websites, timestamps and a first-party visitor identifier. We connect this information to completed registration, checkout and confirmed payments to measure which campaigns bring customers. We remove unrelated query parameters and sensitive account paths from recorded URLs.
  • Support information: messages and other information you choose to send us.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide secure access, create and deliver lessons, generate or evaluate learning activities, measure progress, maintain the service, prevent misuse, respond to support requests and improve product quality. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how the service performs.

Lesson creators can opt into an evening email summarizing new starts and completions across their lessons. These summaries contain lesson totals, without learner names, email addresses or cohort details.

4. AI and service providers

Lesson source material and prompts may be sent to AI, transcript and infrastructure providers only when needed to provide the selected feature. Google provides optional sign-in, our email provider sends verification and service emails, Stripe processes payments, and YouTube supplies video content under its own terms. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own and are expected to protect it under their contracts and applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or send Google profile information to advertising platforms. Google account information supports sign-in, account security and your identity inside the service. Campaign performance is measured with our first-party visit and payment records.

5. Schools, institutions and learners

Where a school or institution provides access, it may control the relevant workspace and learning records. The institution is responsible for giving required notices and obtaining permissions for learners, including children, before using the service. AI Video Education is not intended for a child to create an independent account without the involvement of an authorized school, teacher, parent or guardian.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use essential cookies to complete sign-in, protect against request forgery and keep users securely signed in. These cookies are required for account features. A first-party visitor cookie lasts up to 30 days and helps us connect visits to the first tagged campaign in that period. When you register, that attribution is saved with your account so later confirmed purchases can be measured. Browser restrictions or use of another device may prevent a match. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or pixels.

Named lesson tracking uses a random session token in the browser tab to reconnect to the same learning record after a refresh. Learner details are stored on the service, rather than in that browser token. On shared devices, use the different-learner control before another person starts. Turning off tracking stops new collection but does not delete existing records.

7. Retention, security and deletion

We retain information for as long as an account or institutional relationship is active and as reasonably needed for security, legal and operational purposes. We use access controls, encryption in transit and limited-access session credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information by emailing us. An institution may need to make or approve requests relating to institution-controlled learner records.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
